A voluptuous vision of elegance and agility, Sintesi, the newest concept car by luxury auto designer Pininfarina, provides an elegant take on the sports car of the future. Drenched in delicious interior and exterior design, and exploding with raw power under the hood, Sintesi delivers full throttle speed in a sultry package.
Sintesi’s exterior view is nothing short of thrilling as its four doors swing up independently, inviting you inside for a decadent ride. The sleek, aerodynamic shape of the car ensures its high performance level and stylish front and back ends flank it in luxury. The front grill of the car turns up the heat on design as a slim, single row of lights illuminate the road ahead.
Once inside, Sintesi envelopes you in its spacious cabin and reveals its many assets. Appearing like something out of the space age, Sintesi’s interior design boasts truly innovative front end features. The instrument panel is designed as one glowing, integrated semi-transparent piece that derives its richness from an avant-garde play of light on the dash. And proving that it’s a potent combination of beauty and brains, Sintesi’s futuristic dash and instrument panel also serves as its center of “Transparent Mobility.”
Touted as a concept car solution by Pininfarina, Transparent Mobility is technology that allows for each individual vehicle to internalize traffic signals and communicate with other vehicles whilst in transit.
The system has its own 'intelligence' and does not replace the driver, but is designed to cut in only in cases of danger; therefore, the Transparent Mobility intelligence is used both by the driver and by the automated system managed by the car. Once fully developed and widely available, the user interface will use a language, created by Pi Shurlok, consisting of lights and colors for the driver to “read,” with no signs or icons in the way. All the information currently provided by the infrastructures (ex., traffic lights, road signals) will be displayed inside the vehicle. Also a part of the interior design is radio technology, created by Reicom, which allows Sintesi to communicate with other cars and be able to select the best route to each destination.
The theme of perfect integration is also to be found in the car’s interior seating design. The single, seamless line of the exterior flows into the interior environment where a “floating” seat design takes hold of its inhabitants and wraps them in soft, fluid space.
Founded in 1930 by automobile designer and builder Battista “Pinin” Farina in Cambiano, Italy, Pininfarina is an Italian car design firm and coachbuilder that also has provided innovative designs to such luxury automotive brands as Ferrari, Maserati, Peugeot, Jaguar and more.
